I have a rockin' new scanner and it can scan negatives. How wonderful is that? Yes, the shot above is from a negative. I love it. Of course, it's going to take me a long time to scan everything but eventually I will scan all the photos from my wedding. I want to try and find the slides a friend did as well. :)
So, another week has passed. At least the work part of it was broken up by a day off on Tuesday. Even though our appointment was business, it was still nice being off from work. Too bad no one could cover the first part of my shift.
I'm going to a candle party in a bit. Partylite candles rock. They burn so nicely. The candleholders are pretty, but sometimes they can be so expensive. At the least, it's good to buy the candles and just fine cheaper candleholders. The lantern pictured is actually Partylite. I think I'm oddly determined to buy as much of the Global Fusion line as I can. LOL!
Time to get ready! :)
Our main computers aren't working right now. The surge protector is kaput! I wanted to update my blackberry and of course I use my pc for that. Bah!
I'm still on the fence with Smugmug. I think this little trial has proven that I'm a Flickr chick, but I do like the presentation of Smugmug. I'm just not sure I want to pay for another photo sharing service. Alas! I do like the whole video thing though. I wish it were easier to upload videos and yet I love that I can upload videos. :)
A messy picture of me. I mostly like the way my tattoo looks. ;)
Sometimes I wonder if I've become much too accustomed to feedback when I write my posts. Not so much here because not too many of my family or friends post here, which is fine. Sometimes I want a place that someone might stumble upon rather than a place I know is routinely read.
I have too many places where I can journal. My first real blog place is actually my own domain, moonlitjazz.com. It's spiffy and I love it but I rarely post there now. I've set up my Twitter to post daily, but sometimes that doesn't work right. I suppose I haven't really figured out how I exactly I want to use my MJazz journal now. Why? Because of my next place of journaling.
I must point the finger at Abbagirl for turning me on to livejournal. I started writing there because I wanted to comment on her posts. And then I became dutifully addicted. I really especially dig the fact that I can post to livejournal in so many ways. I almost NEVER use the online interface when I post to my LJ. I like it so much that I invested in the permanent account. Hopefully it wasn't a waste since they've been sold to another company. Ye gods!
I also occasionally post to my blogspot. It almost feels like a step backwards because my very first blog was actually Blogger. (Before Moonlit Jazz because its own domain, I hosted it at my site using Blogger.) I'm not sure why I have a blogspot except that I got to use my walelia name. And I basically want to claim as many places as I can with the following names: kiari, walelia, valerie, vals, valeriejoy.
And then there's Vox. I keep hoping to lure some of my family here because it's fun and easy and cute. I must be immune to the ads but I know they're there. I don't care. I still like it here. I just don't know why I have it. Maybe I just like to talk too much.
;)
Who do you want to be caught under the mistletoe with this holiday season?

I think I'm only really allowed to kiss the hubby. ;)
What was your major or field of study in college? Did you wind up working in that field or using that degree? If not, what field have you wound up in?

I have a bachelor's degree in English. I do believe that the degree has helped me in my everyday life (I love to write), but my work does not utilize the degree in the usual sense. I've also worked in law enforcement (as civilian staff). Joy. ;) I've toyed with going back to school to get my master's degree, but then that would mean I would have to embark on a career as opposed to just having a job.

Being behind the wheel while driving over a bridge. I don't know why.
